Where to paste the snippet
Open the active site template's header.php (the exact admin path to the template editor varies by edition — look under your site's template settings) and paste the complete snippet right before </head>.
Verify the installation
Deploy the template change so it reaches the live site, then open Widget → Install in the studio and run Check installation. Only a runtime-ready result confirms the widget actually mounted — see Automatic diagnostics.
Common pitfalls
- Edit the template the site actually serves, not a copy kept for reference — editing a copy changes nothing for visitors.
- If the site has more than one active template (desktop/mobile, or per-section templates), add the snippet to every template that should show the widget.
- A site-wide cache (Bitrix's own, or a reverse proxy in front of it) can keep serving pages without the new head code — clear it after saving.
