Widget for an online school
Use the Online School preset as a starting point for a consultation, not as a replacement for your teaching or admissions team.
Recommended starting configuration
Choose the Online School preset. Use a welcoming title, a short reply expectation, a team avatar or neutral education image, and one clear contact method in the pre-chat form. Keep every promise in the copy realistic.
Quick actions and reactions
Offer actions such as “Help me choose a course”, “Price”, “Schedule” and “Talk to an adviser”. A quick action sends text into the chat; it does not perform an automated integration. Configure a reaction for each text, otherwise the visitor may receive no useful automated answer.
Pre-chat form
Ask only for the details needed to continue the consultation, such as name and email or phone. Email and phone fields are unverified profile enrichment: submitting them does not verify identity, merge people or subscribe anyone to marketing.
Working hours and offline flow
Set the correct timezone, weekly hours, exceptions and an offline message. Working hours describe the configured schedule, not proof that an operator is online. Outside the schedule, invite the visitor to leave a question and an appropriate contact method, then make the expected response time clear.
Test it as a prospective student
In a private browser window, try every quick action, form rule and offline state. Check that each course, price and schedule request reaches a useful reaction and that a returning visitor sees the expected local conversation state.
Common mistakes
- Publishing actions before their reactions are ready.
- Treating an email or phone field as verified identity.
- Writing “an adviser is online” because the schedule is open.
- Collecting more information than the next reply actually needs.
